1968 Hand-Painted Baseball by George Sosnak

1968 Hand-Painted Baseball by George Sosnak

The master craftsman of decorated baseball - George Sosnak - created another masterpiece with this colorful work of art on yet another rawhide canvas. Straight from the 1968 season which saw the Cardinals battle the Tigers in the World Series comes this ball that was signed by the artist and gifted to Red Schonedienst. It is in EX-MT condition and includes vibrant illustrations of the Hall of Fame second baseman both in profile and an action shot of Red being congratulated by his first-base coach after hitting the winning home run in the 1950 All-Star Game. The Cardinals logo and "WORLD CHAMPIONS" designation from the previous season are also prominently featured. This is downright spectacular.
