Borough rivals Brooklyn and New York began their 1916 seasons with visions of pennants in their dreams. Here are a few of the Giants and Superbas stars on display on a Fatima cigarettes advertisement that would hang in tobacco shops across the Metropolitan Area. They include Fred Merkle, Fred Snodgrass and George Burns, with a lower headline that declares: "GIANTS AND SUPERBAS OPEN NATIONAL LEAGUE RACE." The 18.5x12.5" ad is folded but otherwise in EX+ condition.
