This is a 10 x 17" poster originally produced in 1941 to advertise the sports coverage in the now-defunct Brooklyn Eagle newspaper. Under the headline screaming DODGER FANS! appears the signature of none other than the Great Bambino himself. Under Babe Ruth's signature, the year 1942 is written in a different hand and pen. The back of the poster features an unscored score card from the 1941 World Series between the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers that includes team photos of both teams. There is some tape on the poster, several tape marks, and a glue spot on the front where some blue paper residue remains. The poster has been folded and shows three fold marks. A small tear appears on the lower left edge, and there is some paper loss affecting one of the Yankee players' faces. This is a great piece; the Ruth signature grades 7/8 and would make a terrific cut signature.
