Vintage wire photo of these two East Coast batting legends, Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio, as they playfully “choose-up sides” for a N.Y. Yankee and Boston Red Sox game on July 2, 1941, in New York. Wire photo has some detailing, and an inconsequential smudge under DiMaggio’s chin, o/w EX, and measures 11 ¾ x 8”. Caption on front is part of photo, and on verso is Examiner stamp.
