The Soviet Union was cranking up its Cold War hockey machine and put out a pretty nice uniform, too. This game-worn number by a player named Tepekneh for one of the nation's clubs is a red, white and blue beauty with heavy game use that evokes images of vodka-steamed fans yelling for more. Holes and blood stains and other discoloration give it wonderful character. The Soviet regime failed, but Soviet-style continues to influence hockey. The KE design looks similar to some American sports logos. The red felt "A" sewn into the chest speaks for itself. Rounding out this Big Red Machine lot is a 14 by 23-inch wood-framed and signed poster (EX-MT) promoting a game between the Moscow Dynamo and the University of Michigan. Moscow Dynamo was the New York Yankees of the Soviets' club system. Hammer and Sickle and Old Glory crossing sticks: Now that's a Cold War classic. This jersey and poster were acquired by Jerry Szweda and his sons in exchange for some blue jeans from the good ole US of A!
