Lot 235: 1980's Borje Salming Game Used Skates & Stick
The tools of the game, as used by the relentless Hall-of-Fame blueliner Borje Salming during his days with the Leafs. The stick is a Sherwood PMP, factory stamped "SALMING" and "21" with an additional"21" in marker. Heavy black tape covers the knob and blade and the factory pattern code and date stamp appears on the back of the shaft. A tag taped to the stick reads "April 6, 1986" referring to the game the stick was used in. Signed in blue ballpoint on the shaft. The skates are Daoust 301 National's with black plastic blade holders. Custom factory coding inside each boot dates the skates to 1979. The number "21" is marked in blue on bottom of each well-worn boot. Both items obtained from Leafs trainer Guy Kinnear in the 1980's as the LOA explains.
