One of the most amazing baseball card sets ever created is the N300 Mayo set of 1895. With the black borders, all of the cards were almost immediately rendered to non-Mint condition and virtually all of the examples that have survived to this day are, frankly, in terrible shape. Lelands is proud to offer this great rarity from the set - noted pitcher, field player, labor organizer, manager and later lawyer John "Monte" Ward in very presentable Excellent condition. Ward did it all, both on the field and off, and looks great on this N300. The card is centered noticeably low and to the left, with only very light corner wear and one minor blemish on the pure black reverse. In all, this is a mind-blowing copy of a very important card.
