Exceptional lot of game used items from the recent National League pennant race, one which produced the eventual and unlikely World Champion Marlins. After rolling through familiar competition the youngsters from Miami shocked everyone but themselves by upsetting the heavily favored Yankees. Four “Original Hollywood Bases” date from Game 4 of the NLDS between the Braves and Cubs, one each from Game 1, Game 4, and Game 6 of the NLCS between the Cubs and Marlins. All are affixed with four side plates, two “League Championship Series 2003”, and two MLB logos. Nine Rawlings Official MLB (Selig) game used baseballs include three from the NLDS series between the Florida Marlins and San Francisco Giants (Game 1 (2), Game 2 (1)), three from the NLDS series between the Braves and Cubs (Game 1 (1), Game 2 (2)), and four from the NLCS series between the Florida Marlins and Chicago Cubs (Game 4 (1), Game 5 (1), Game 6 (1), Game 7 (1)). Each piece of this spectacular lot displays expected and measurable game use and all are affixed with the Official MLB authenticating hologram.
