Imagine being able to write these names on a lineup card nearly every day. Joe McCarthy had that honor in 1937, during which he made out this perfectly preserved "Official Batting Order" with the meat of the order Joe DiMaggio, Lou Gehrig and Bill Dickey, joined by Tony Lazzeri, Frank Crosetti, Red Rolfe, George Selkirk, Myril Hoag and Red Ruffing. McCarthy signed his surname to the lower right corner on the dotted "Manager" line. All names are in pencil. 4 x 4.5" card is lightly browned. Perfect front. Some fold, soil and adhestive damage on back of card that lists "New York Special Ground Rules". VG-EX Yankee gem.
