R.I.A.A. award presented to Slowhand Eric Clapton for the Atco Records’ "Goodbye." The fourth of five Cream certified gold LP's on 4/21/69. This is the “Holy Grail” of record award white mattes since they were very limited in production, usually only a dozen or less. Before R.I.A.A. certified these in 1958 there were a few select record awards for artists like Perry Como . With blue background that were fairly common at the time. This piece is absolutely crisp and clean inside with N.Y. Framing label on verso. The woode frame has the usual scratches and dings.
