It was his line drive off Dizzy Dean's toe in the 1937 All-Star Game that was the beginning of the end of the HOF pitcher's career. We'll forgive Earl though, whose black ink signature is 10+/10 on the sweet spot of this OAL (MacPhail) ball. An absolutely gorgeous single.
