ITEM DESCRIPTION

Unique Art made metal wind-up toys for almost 40 years, including the highly sought after “Dancing Howdy and Buffalo Bob at the Piano” in the late 1940’s. This 30x20” original watercolor on heavy artist’s board is a wonderful portrait of Howdy and a clown influenced by Clarabell. “Unique” is spelled out on the clown’s juggling balls and the painting is dedicated at the bottom “To Irving Richardson from John Allen” and was “Prepared by Fred L. Meagher Associates” of NYC. A beautifully done presentation piece that connects Howdy and the manufacturer that made one of his best toys. EX-MT.
