Lot 554: 1952 Clyde King World Series Bat
ITEM DESCRIPTION
Perhaps known more for his role as special adviser to combustible Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, Clyde King spent the majority of his playing career pitching for Brooklyn and used this uncracked Hillerich and Bradsby model K55, specifically made for his use in the 1952 World Series (labeled accordingly on the barrel). It measures nearly 35", weighs 34 oz and shows light if any use. It is signed on the barrel in 7/10 blue felt tip.
