These were presented to members of the fourth and final edition of the NFL's Maroons in 1928. POTTSVILLE MAROONS" is engraved. The Pottstown team was stripped of its 1925 championship after having played an unauthorized exhibition game in Philadelphia. The fact that the pendant is made of coal is especially significant since Pottstown was a heavy coal mining town in Eastern Pennsylvania and its team once played in the Anthracite League. This item is unique and in EX condition.
