Bob Montgomery's first professional fight was on October 23, 1938, and in less than five years, he defeated Beau Jack to win the New York World Lightweight Title. The Sumter, South Carolina native posted career victories over Fritzie Zivic, Lew Jenkins, Pete Scalzo, Ike Williams and Maxie Shapiro, and finished with a final career mark of 75-19-3. Offered here is the original ring presented to Montgomery when inducted into the Hall Of Fame. It is gold, features a diamond amidst boxing gloves on the face and inscribed on the exterior: INTERNATIONAL BOXING HALL OF FAME. Inside is his name and the wording: BALFOUR 10K. The left shank illustrates two fighters under a banner commemorating the Hall's hometown of CANASTOTA, New York. The Hall's logo and wording is also present on the right panel. This knockout piece of jewelry is in EX-MT condition.
