This is an illustrated vintage leather for then world heavyweight champion James J. Jeffries. Entitled "Our Champion" with a facsimile signature of Jeffries at the bottom. Beautiful image of Jeffries in full fight pose as he looked at the height of his career. The image and print are bold and clear. There are tack holes on the perimeter and some ninor soiling. Irregularly shaped to 23x30." Jeffries was champion from 1899 to 1905 and this leather dates to his reign.
