Now known as the "Midsummer Classic," the Major League Baseball All-Star Game made its debut way back in 1933. This lot contains a rare ticket stub from the very first recognized baseball all-star game, played at Comiskey Park in Chicago on July 6. That inaugural contest was taken by the host squad, as the American League prevailed over the National by a 4-2 count, propelled by a third-inning, two-run home run by an aging Babe Ruth. Who knew back then what $1.10 (the face value of the ducat) could buy? The bottom right hand corner has a chip, otherwise the condition is Very Good.
