The trilogy of heavyweight fights between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazer has gone down in history among the most epic series of battles ever waged. This rare item is a promotional poster for the first bout between the two, billed as "The Fight of the Century," on March 8, 1971. "Smokin' Joe" would earn a unanimous 15-round decision, after which both men were hospitalized due to injuries sustained in the fight. Ali, of course, would gain revenge by prevailing in the following two meetings. Normally found in cardboard, this is the first paper one we have seen or offered.
