Lot 10: Near Perfect Harry Greb Signature
ITEM DESCRIPTION
Widely considered one of the greatest fighters ever to enter the ring, Harry Greb was both a world middleweight and light heavyweight champion during the 1920s, even taking on heavyweights over his career.
His signature graces a business-sized card in 9/10 black fountain ink. It is personalized and also notated by Greb "Middleweight Champion of World." We have seen two Greb signed photos but have never handled a signature on anything other than a photo. This one is extra special as it was signed by an active champion. Framed with a vintage Exhibit card. Greb died at the young age of 32 after having complained about vision problems, as well as respiratory issues.
