ITEM DESCRIPTION
|
||||||||||||||
In 1949, the San Francisco Seals of the Pacific Coast League embarked on one of the first goodwill tours of Japan following World War II. General Douglas MacArthur felt the tour was one of the most important pieces of diplomacy the U.S. could do for the war-ravaged Japanese. This collection of items contains three different ticket stubs from the tour, including one from "Lefty O'Doul Day". A very rare program is included that features a seal on the cover and is unscored. Overall, the collection is in VG condition. Each ticket is used, and measures 2x4" while the program measures 8x11.5".
