A fine group of snapshot-size photos from the Philadelphia Athletics' 1934 Tour of Japan and The Philippines. These were either taken by veteran infielder Rabbit Warstler or his wife. Many are candid and one-of-a-kind, with Warstler having identified many on the backs. Included in the photos are the likes of Moe Berg, Babe Ruth, Mrs. Ruth with Julia, the ball park in Tokyo, Lefty O'Doul, Ruth with Jimmy Foxx and Connie Mack, Lou Gehrig at the plate and the US team in the dugout. Overall EX condition. Warstler played second base and shortstop for the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia A's, Boston Bees and Chicago Cubs during the 1930s.
