This picture captures two of India's most influential men, Jawaharlal Nehru & Mohandas "Mahatma" Gandhi, at the All India Congress Committee meeting in 1946. A year later, India was granted independence from Great Britain in large part due to Gandhi's non-violent protests. Nehru was named the first Prime Minister of the new country and served nearly 17 years. Measures 8x10".
