The Gold Standard of pitchers, Cy Young was the sole signer of this Rawlings baseball shortly before his death in 1955. A heavy coat of shellac had been applied to the entire baseball, causing it to turn a dark yellow color. The signature on the side panel in black ink rates 6/10 and displays nicely. Over his 22-year career, Young set records which have never even been approached by successive pitchers, such as 511 wins and 426 complete games. A JSA LOA is included.
