Description

The first black player in Yankees history donned this all-black catcher's helmet circa the 1960s. It shows lots of use and the padding is missing from the inside. The pants are home pinstripes from 1978 worn by Howard when he was coaching for the eventual World Champion Yankees. They also show nice use with Wilson size 38 and "Howard 78 2 24" strip tag on the inside waist band. The pants come with an LOA from Whitey Ford.
