Here's a very nice collection of nine game-worn and game-issued caps from one of Major League Baseball's most enduring and beloved franchises: the Chicago Cubs. The earliest model is circa 1937 by Spalding and is attributed to Joe Marty. There's a 1940s model with leather headband that is stamped by Goldsmith; a mid-1950s cap by McAuliffe that is unused and NRMT; early 1960s model by Wilson with a mark under the brim; early 1980s cap by New Era; late 1980s by New Era; 1980s throwback by New Era with red stripes and a pair of 1990s models by New Era.
