Lot 909: 1980s Terry Labonte Race Worn Suit

UPDATE: The suit is from 1983, Budweiser's first year in NASCAR, with two time NASCAR Champion Terry Labonte as their first driver. With the Budweiser font, there is no blue in the font, the style of the "bow tie" and most importantly it also has Stratagraph, Inc. sponsorship.
This race-worn driver's suit belonged to well-known racer Terry Labonte in the 1980s. The red suit, emblazoned with a large "Budweiser" ad across its center on a white stripe, features an embroidered "Terry Labonte" nameplate on the lower right shoulder, as well as sewn patches advertising STP, Goodyear, and Chevrolet, among others. There are a few small black pieces of paper glued to various areas of the suit from previous mounting. Also included is a heavily-used vintage STP crewman shirt with the name "Joe" stitched on the upper left breast. Significant use is apparent on both of these items.
