This contract, dated Jan. 30, 1953, was for George L. “Sparky” Anderson to play for the Santa Barbara Dodgers Class C team. It is signed three times "George L. Anderson," it is also signed by Fresco Thompson three times, and by Sparky’s dad. It is in EX condition. Also included is a progress report of sorts, signed by Santa Barbara manager George Scherger, stating Sparky’s strengths – running and good hands - and weaknesses – “needs to be moved [from short stop] to 2nd base. Arm is not good enough for the long throw.” These two documents are in EX condition.
