This Bulova Accutron watch was awarded to NHL Hall of Famer Mark Howe for being selected by "The Sporting News" as the World Hockey Association's Rookie of the Year in 1974. The inscription on the back of the watch reads, “The Sporting News – MARK HOWE – WHA ROOKIE OF THE YEAR 1973-74.” This is from the first of Howe’s four seasons with the Houston Aeros and six overall in the WHA. The son of all-time great Gordie Howe, Mark proceeded to play 16 years in the NHL. Originally obtained directly from Mark Howe and comes with a signed LOA from him. Second hand is floating, however easily reparable and watch is otherwise in EX condition.
