UPDATE: This is the contract for the design that increased the height of the Green Monster wall to give the Green Monster the look it has today.
One of the oldest, most beloved ballparks in America, Fenway Park underwent wholesale upgrades during the mid-1930s. During this time, the manual scoreboard was installed in the left-field wall, some 12 years before it was painted green, and the first expansions took place. This copy (#11) of Job #6189 by the Osborn Engineering Company of Cleveland consists of 105 typewritten pages, laying out various improvements in great detail. Among them are are the installation of grandstand extensions, retaining wall, pavilion, bleacher and additional box seats. There are specifications for concrete, masonry, plastering, sheet metal, carpentry, painting, roofing and even implementation of toilets. A wonderful piece of baseball and design memorabilia.
