These two 4x5" glass negatives show, with stunning detail, the epic July 4, 1930, boxing match between Young Corbett and Jack Thompson at Ewing Field in San Francisco, which Corbett would later go on to win. The two boxers met four different times in the ring, with Corbett winning three and drawing once. One negative has a 1" chip in the bottom right corner, but otherwise both are in excellent condition. Comes with the original envelope from the San Francisco Examiner.
