Framed and matted in this 10.5x23.5" casing, this 1935 advertisement for Chesapeake and Ohio Lines promotes a "Baseball Excursion" to see the Boston Braves (with Babe Ruth) play the Cincinnati Reds at Crosley Field on Sunday, May 26. Round-trip fares from cities across Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia on special coach trains are advertised, and there is a 2x4" photo of "The Babe" featured on the poster's lower-half. Snacks aboard the train are briefly listed along with itineraries from select towns and cities. The broadside has several creases and a small tear on the right-hand edge, but the overall appearance is Very Good. Side note: Ruth, in the final year of his Hall of Fame career, went 0-4 that afternoon as his Braves lost, 6-3.
