Lot 300: 1915 Federal League “Fan” Letter
ITEM DESCRIPTION
This is a four-page handwritten letter with great content. It is dated June 6, 1915 from Buffalo, and reads, “Harry Lord is now manager of the Buffalo Federals.” It also contains interesting WWI ethnic baseball content where the Boston Braves went to Toronto to drop off “six fellows who were German” after their double-header with the Brooklyn Terrapins. Brooklyn’s Benny Kauff was trying to jump to the New York Giants throughout the game. He got his wish and ended up there in 1916. EX-MT.
