This undergarment once graced the flesh of one of the most iconic American figures: the legendary Marilyn Monroe. The bra was originally consigned by the family of famed acting coach Lee Strasburg and sold at a Christies auction (the Christies tag is still attached). Strasberg - who died in 1982 - is widely recognized as the father of method acting, and his family consigned this piece. Monroe - who died in 1962 - trained under Strasberg. She made her film debut in 1950 and soon after had launched into the superstar stratosphere as both an actress and sex symbol.
