The German zeppelin Hindenburg was the world's largest lighter-than-air craft before it burst into flames while attempting to land at Lakehurst, New Jersey on May 6, 1937. This collection includes 10 press photographs of the Hindenburg: two from its better days in 1936 and eight images of the craft ablaze after it exploded. Photos measure 7 x 9" and all have the original paper captions still attached to the verso. EX/NRMT.
