Lot 506: 1911 Fenway Park Master Blueprint
ITEM DESCRIPTION
The definitive blueprint of one of the most important baseball stadiums ever. Dated September 19, 1911 it shows the entire span of Fenway from Boylston Road to Brookline Avenue (16x22"). Attached are two documents. The first is a 1912 letter to the general contractors saying they “will move the stand at New Fenway Park, known as the 25 cent bleachers” for $800. The second is a 1951 signed letter from the grandson of the “General Contractor on the first Fenway Park back in 1913.” It is on Charles Logue Building Company who are “still in business.” It refers to this very blueprint making it the best letter of authenticity you will ever see. The blueprint has many tears some archivally repaired. Rarely if ever do you see a “definitive” blueprint of an old baseball stadium let alone one of the historical significance of Fenway Park.
