The most complete collection of Boston Braves' signatures, from the cup-of-coffee men to the grizzled veterans. Almost all of them are here. Being sold as one incredible lot, this collection was put together over the course of an entire lifetime spent with the Braves: first as a fan, then as an employee of the team, and, when the Braves left Boston, as a nostalgic fan and serious collector. Nearly 450 autographs are included; almost all are vintage. Most are on 3x5" cards and, overall, are beautiful specimens. Many have inscriptions along with the signatures.. There are many handwritten notes, some cuts, and many government postcards. Highlights include Dave Bancroft, William McKechnie, Duffy Lewis, Ben Bengough, Burleigh Grimes, Ernie Lombardi, Rabbit Maranville, Rube Marquard, Joe Medwick, George Sisler, Lloyd Waner, Bucky Walters, and more. There are some great little gems like a note by Dick Crutcher with 1914 Braves content, and a beautiful Frank Hogan signed 1934 Goudey card. Beautifully archived in plastic pages with leader cards.
