Jim Jacobs, among many other things, was known for his fantastic comic book collection. A Jim Jacobs auction would not be complete without at least a sampling from that collection. This lot includes a fine selection of original Big Little Cartoon Books including: 15 from the Flash Gordon Series: (Ape Men of Mor, Fiery Desert of Mongo, Red Sword Invaders, Jungles of Mongo, The Ice World of Mongo, Monsters of Mongo, Emperor of Mongo, On Planet Mongo, Forest Kingdom of Mongo, Water World of Mongo, Witch Queen of Mongo, Power Men of Mongo, Perils of Mongo, Tournaments of Mongo, The Tyrant of Mongo). All are in Fair-VG or better condition. There is also a Tarzan of The Apes Big Little Book (VG), and two Joe Louis The Brown Bomber Big Little Books (VG). There are 11 comic books including five reprints. The six originals include Ali vs Superman (EX), Flash Gordon (EX-No.1 Sept. 1966), Zip Comics (Sept. 1941, Vol 1, No.18-Poor), and four others. Interesting grouping.
