This is a significant pair of early Mike Tyson autographs. The lot includes two wonderfully matted 7 ? x 9 ?” color action photos of Mike Tyson fighting Trent Singleton on April 10, 1985. Tyson stopped Singleton in the first round in his second professional fight. Tyson signed the photo across the top matte, "To Jimmy From Mike His Best Boxer". Tyson also signed the photograph in ink, "Mike Tyson". This is a rare, early original photograph and signature of Mike Tyson before he won the heavyweight title. The second item is an illustrated newspaper article picturing Mike Tyson and Larry Holmes as they prepare for their championship fight of January 22, 1988 which Tyson won by TKO in round four. Tyson took a pen and drew a box around himself and signed the article, "The Champion of Champions Mike Tyson". This lot includes a personal note from Jimmy Jacobs' wife Loraine explaining the signature. Early documented Tyson autographs are very scarce. Both pieces are in excellent condition.
