This lot includes a complete seven-part series of coins issued to commemorate the 1976 Olympics in Montreal. Each set contains four coins with a combined face value of $30 Canadian in a separate wood and fabric case that fits on a display rack which holds all seven cases. Series I is dated 1973 and has a geographic theme. Series II illustrates Olympic motifs and Series III features early Canadian sports; both are dated 1974. Series IV shows Olympic track and field events, while Series V pictures Olympic water sports; both are dated 1975. Series VI features Olympic team and body contact sports, and Series VII showcases Olympic venues/symbols of Montreal; both are dated 1976. All of the coins have Queen Elizabeth on the verso and appear to be in mint condition.
