Reason it is a rookie bat is that the black barrel sports his name in block lettering, before he had a contract with Hillerich & Bradsby. This bat came directly from A-Rod's first major league roommate, Alex Diaz. Shows bat rack marks but no ball marks, and is 34" in length. Vintage signature in silver sharpie is the rare full signature that he no longer uses, "Alex Rodriguez #3.”
