Many remember golf legend Bobby Jones for his prowess on the links; fewer realize that he was also an attorney with a thriving practice in Atlanta. This one-page typewritten letter dated August 13, 1953 on the letterhead of Jones, Williams, Dorsey & Kane, Counselors at Law, is addressed to Rufus E. Brown of the Coca Cola Bottling Company in Rutland, Vermont. It discusses the transmittal of some payment notes and a mortgage that are to be destroyed by Mr. Brown. The letter is signed "Bob, " under which is typed "Robert T. Jones, Jr." LOA.
