ITEM DESCRIPTION

||||||||||||||
Official National League (Feeney) baseball was used in the historic September 11th, 1985 game at Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati. During this eventful night, Pete Rose became the new all time hit leader when he surpassed Ty Cobb's record of 4,191 career hits. This is one record in baseball that will not likely be broken anytime soon if ever. Ball shows nice use and was saved from the game by umpire, Bob Engel. It comes with an LOA signed by Engel. After the game, Engel had Rose sign it on the sweet spot in blue Sharpie (8/10). The notation of "9-11-85" was also added.
