Along with the Brooklyn Dodgers, the Braves toyed with the concept of shiny satin uniforms to be worn under the lights, but quickly abandoned the idea when it became apparent that the delicate nature of the fabric would prove problematic in hard-fought diamond wars. And remember, this was a pennant-winning year for the Braves, so it's even that much brighter.
