Earlier magazine has a great WWII cover, pairing a hurling pitcher with a grenade-tossing infantry soldier. Great content regarding Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson among many others. Later publication has a fantastic story (complete with photos) about Jackie Robinson-"…I don't know yet if I'm good enough to make the Montreal team yet…" His future teammate Campy is in a photo as well. Each magazine shows wear, with some light tearing in the 1944 issue and minimal water damage to the 1946. Both are very strong though, and entirely readable cover to cover.
