Jim Sears, a pro football player who paid his NCAA dues at the University of Southern California, was the second person ever to win the W.J. Voit Memorial Trophy for excellence in Pacific Coast players. A year before his professional career began, Sears received this watch to commemorate his team's trip to and victory at the 1953 Rose Bowl. The watch presented to the running back is a Lord Elgin, in working condition, featuring the USC football logo on its face.
