A true one-of-a-kind item. This golf bag, customized exclusively for the great Mickey Mantle, features the famous Yankees' white with blue pinstripe design, with a blue New York Yankees logo and the number "7" sewn into the front. On the left, in individual letters, "MICKEY MANTLE" is sewn vertically, with a corresponding "LEEDS-FAIRWAY" sewn on the right. A second Yankees logo can be found near the bottom on the back side. The bag stands around 3.5 feet high, and aside from a small smudge, a few dings, and a pen mark or two, is fully intact and looks incredible. This bag was presented to Mickey on his personal day of celebration, "Mickey Mantle Day", on June 8th, 1969 at Yankee Stadium, an event at which his number "7" was retired from play. It was given as a gift to Tom Catal, the president of the Mickey Mantle Museum in Cooperstown, NY, by Mantle himself in 1981. LOA included is handwritten by Mr. Catal, and details his acquisition of this wonderful Mickey Mantle artifact.
