On December 14,1896 Joe Gans met Charles Rochette in an important lightweight contest .The great Joe Gans would win the bout when Rochette retired in the 4th round. Presented here is the rare official on-site program for the bout. This program measures 6 inches by 9 ½ inches. The program contains 12 pages and is not scored. The program has some indentation marks on the lower right side that go through all pages. The program is not torn in this area. Minor soiling on the covers. The binding is intact and tight. Some minor wear from handling.Very rare and quite possibly unique. The only example we have seen.
