This cookie jar, by Standfordware, depicts a humorous, large-eared caricature of a Brooklyn Dodger who is missing a tooth and smoking a cigar. The lid, in the shape of a blue hat with the word "Bums" across its front, makes reference to the Dodgers' tongue-in-cheek nickname and appears to have been repainted. Jar is in great shape, very clean, with minimal chipping or scratching to be found, and retains its shine as if it were brand new. The detailing on the cartoonish character is great, with excellent coloring, especially around the five o' clock shadow. A tough item to find, as this type of piece usually only came in the form of banks.
