Lot 807: 1980 Salesman Sample Jim Craig Olympic Gold Medal Ring

Olympic Gold Medal salesman sample ring like the one presented to goaltender Jim Craig for his stellar performance en route to the U.S. ice hockey team’s winning gold at the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Games. Five jewels upon a blue plane glitter at its center, surrounded by “U.S.A. Olympic Hockey Gold Medalist” in raised block lettering. On one side, below Olympic logo, is USA4USSR3” in slightly larger lettering than the “USA4FIN2” below it (a reflexion of the importance of the semi-final over the final), while “1980 Bolds even bigger below that. The other side is “Craig” and his # “30” raised in bold. Inside band is engraved scriped “Miracle on Ice” as well as team’s competitive journey to semis. Size 10.5 Balfour 10k
