A tremendous piece of boxing history, this program introduces the title fight that not only decided a new heavyweight champ of the world, but altered the sport of pugilism forever, as “The Little Giant of Hanover,” Tommy Burns, agreed to a heavyweight championship with an African American - the notorious “Galveston Giant” and greatest of his generation, Jack Johnson. Johnson scored a TKO after fourteen rounds. Program contains some delicious sections, as with “Tommy Burns on Training,” and “Jack Johnson discourses on Timing and Feinting - and gives some Hints.” Cover has some restoration to the spine and some creases.
